Lance Davis is an accomplished world class powerlifter, author, certified sports and clinical hypnotherapist, actor and motivational speaker who shares his story of defying the odds against him. 

After a serious auto accident that severely injured his back, doctors told him he would never powerlift again. But through mental and physical persistence, Lance defeated those odds, broke multiple world records in powerlifting, and was eventually inducted into the World Association of Benchers and Deadlifters (WABDL) Hall of Fame.

Lance shares his story of recovery from the accident and how he was able to come back and continue to break world records. It wasn’t an easy road for him, but he didn’t give up.

Jamie MoCrazy is a former X-Games and World Cup Skier. During a severe accident in the 2015 World Tour Finals, Jamie suffered a traumatic brain injury. She overcame this injury and became a motivational speaker. She owns the MoCrazy Strong Foundation and features a regular podcast.

AWPC-WPC 2023 World Cup

Lance and his team competed in the AWPC-WPC World Cup in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Sept 2, 2023. He finished first in the 55-59 year-old single ply deadlift division and broke the world record in that division. His teammates also brought home medals, breaking several world records.

About Lance

Lance has not only excelled in physical strength, but also mental strength. He has written the book Get Your Head in the Game, which gives multiple examples of mental persistence from not only his life, but of others who’ve traveled a similar road to success. He offers the reader guidance and wisdom gained from his own experiences that can be applied to all walks of life. This book is not just for the athlete, although athletes find it especially helpful.

Lance is certified in Strength Training and Dynamic Nutrition through International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), founded by Fred Hatfield, the first man to squat 1,000 pounds. He is also certified in sports and clinical hypnotherapy through the American Board of Hypnotherapy. He uses hypnotherapy to help his clients improve their athletic performance through mental training and to help people overcome obstacles in their lives without the use of prescription drugs.

With certifications in both physical and mental strength, Lance has helped many athletes and non-athletes achieve their goals and achieve more than they dreamed possible. Through his story, the audience will learn how to unlock their own limitations, opening the door to incredible results.

Lance’s Background

Lance was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended Olympus High School where he played football and baseball and was active in wrestling.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. He retired from the Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office after 20 years of service and was weapon certified. He worked law enforcement security during the 2002 Olympics in Park City.

Lance is certified in strength training, dynamic nutrition, and sports and clinical hypnotherapy.  He has broken more than 75 state records, 13 national records and 11 world records. Lance has broken these records in multiple federations, won multiple world championships in multiple federations and was inducted into the World Association of Benchers and Deadlifters (WABDL) Hall of Fame Nov. 1, 2022, in Reno, Nevada.

Lance has appeared in multiple movies and television series as an extra and with acting parts.

Lance is an Eagle Scout and is fluent in the English and Spanish languages.
